I'm currently having fun playing Stacks:Village and suddenly see that you not only already have two similar games, but are also working on a new one whilst still trying to improve. Thank you for creating and sharing these games with us, (for free even!,) I bought Stacklands and WitchHand and at least Stacks:Village (since I haven't tried the others, can't write about them), is of such quality that I would put it on a similar level to those. I wouldn't have been surprised If you'd tried to monetise any one of your games, but since you didn't I have even more of a reason to be greatfull.
Thanks for sharing these fun products of your motivation. You took a popular/trendy game concept, added your own wishes to it and created something new and fun. Thanks!
I definitely recommend to give Stacks:Space and Stacks:Jungle a try. Stacks:Space was my first game - kinda like Stacklands but with aliens, lasers and bots, while Stacks:Jungle is an attempt to make a 100% peaceful exploration-based Stacklands-like game in a spirit of the “Jungle Cruise”.
Note that Stacks:Space was made six months after the release of Stacklands, so it is technically the oldest Stacklands-like game, released LONG before Witchhand, Card Age, or Paper Kingdom :)
Space and Jungle were on sale for $5 at Steam and Itch until Dec’2024. Did not sell nearly as well as Stacklands or Witchhand for obvious reasons (earned less than my monthly salary in total), but I don’t really worry about sales. I really liked the new genre and I will definitely make more Stacklands-like games (eventually).
